Cover Up Tattoos

A friend of mine had his first tattoo in 2003, since then he found it addictive. If my memory serves me right until this day he had more than 9 sessions of tattoo, he gets them almost yearly. During that time he was madly or stupidly in-love and eager to get a new tats. So naively he got her girlfriends name as a third tattoo on his left chest. He had it in Old English font. Then eventually they broke up two years later. After several months he found another girlfriend I thought he would get another tattoo with the girls name, but i guess he learned his lesson. So I couldn't imagine what the incumbent girlfriend would think of seeing the tattoo of another girls name, but he jokingly said that the good thing about it was, the name was an adjective. Then 2 years after around 2007 he tried a cover up session with a tribal design. That was 4 hours of pain, he said it look good for a few days but later on it faded and made more emphasis on the name. in short it was a failure. I personally think it would be better to pour acid on it but it will definitely leave a keloid, or he could have used silver nitrate and tanning lotion as what tattoo artist would recommend or perhaps get a laser removal, but the cost per square millimeter is too costly. So he had it but only until last April where he met an artist who was able to give an oriental design with lots of shading so he did not hesitate to get it done, as he recalled it was 6 hour ordeal, a supposedly 2 session tattoo was done in just a fraction of a day. Since then he became a fan of cover up since he plans to have one more cover up with the same artist. Oh did I mention that the current girlfriend is now happy that it was gone and is now replaced with a different design. I'll soon post his 2nd cover if i get the chance...
